Welcome to our "EPIC" classroom!
In our classroom, we are always working on being "EPIC". This stands for "Everyday People in Charge". We are learning that we are in charge of our emotions. We are in charge of how we react to various situations, and in charge of making positive decisions in how we treat ourselves and others.
“Be E.P.I.C.” is about educating students on how to be everyday, regular people, in charge and confident in themselves. We are learning strategies to manage our own emotions and actions, as well as how young people, like themselves, can make a big difference in the world. In our classroom, we are focusing on various areas of social-emotional learning: self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness,relationship skills and responsible decision making. We are always learning skills and strategies to help regulate our emotions, become collaborators and great leaders, as well as react to every situation in an "E.P.I.C. way".
So, parents...we challenge you to also use the 'Be E.P.I.C. language, and ask yourself: "Am I being Epic today?", "How can I react in an 'epic' way?"
Thank you!
